Police have charged a Central Coast couple with over 260 additional charges following an extensive investigation into the alleged ongoing physical and sexual abuse of a teenage boy.

In February 2021, detectives attached to Brisbane Water Police District established Strike Force Bloomsbury to investigate the alleged supply of prohibited drugs – mainly methylamphetamine and MDMA – on the Central Coast.

A 48-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman were subsequently charged with drug, weapon and sex-related offences and remain before the courts.

As a result of further ongoing investigations under Strike Force Bloomsbury, police charged the man with an additional 126 sex-related offences and the woman with an additional 136 sex-related offences yesterday (Thursday 24 February 2022).
