Central Coast Water Sharing Plan open for feedback

NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment today announced the draft replacement water sharing plan for the Central Coast area has been placed on public exhibition for community feedback.

The NSW Government is undertaking public consultation on the proposed rules that will apply to the management and operation of water licences under the new water sharing plan.

The draft replacement plan for the Central Coast Unregulated and Alluvial Water Sources 2021 and supporting documentation is on exhibition from 30 November 2020 to 31 January 2021.

Water sharing plans are subject to review every 10 years under the Water Management Act 2000. The 2009 plan was reviewed by the Natural Resources Commission. Recommendation from this review were consider during development of the draft plan..

Central Coast water users and the community are invited to submit any feedback on the draft plan, and to attend one of the online webinars that will take place on Thursday 3 and Tuesday 8 December 2020.
