CFA Juniors are in the process of training hard to prepare for the 2020 Urban Championships.
Junior teams from around the state will compete in a range of events across the two days.
Registration for the 2020 State Urban Junior Championships is now closed.
The Urban Junior Championships will be held at BJ Reither Track, Park Drive Horsham on 22-23 February 2020. This event is separate to the Mooroopna Championships that will be held later in March.
The Champs are a great opportunity for Junior CFA members to demonstrate a range of firefighting skills.
These Championships have been running for more than 45 years.
The Urban Junior Championships are open to all Junior urban brigade members aged from 11 to 17 years old. Events are based on practical firefighting activities.
CFA Youth Volunteer Program Leader Jen Clement speaks about the event,
“The Urban Junior Champs are a great celebration of CFA and its traditions,” CFA’s Youth Volunteer Program Leader Jen Clement said.
“Not only is the event a great opportunity for Juniors to showcase their CFA skills, but they can also meet other Junior brigades and make friends.
“I’d encourage all members to come along and show their support.”
As well as the competition events there will be a virtual reality simulation experience and a CFA corporate tent with information and merchandise.
