Chatswood Family Festival

Looking for exciting ideas to entertain the family during the summer holidays? Enjoy a memorable staycation in Chatswood at the Family Festival on The Concourse throughout January 2022, with concerts, theatre shows, great food and fun activities.

The highlight of the COVID safe festival is the Mini Maestros Musical Superheroes symphony concert series. Conductor George Ellis and Play School’s Rachael Coopes, together with the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra, will captivate audiences with superhero themed music on Wednesday, 19 January at 10am and 1pm.

The kids will be entertained for hours and improve their reading with the Summer Escapades Reading Challenge at the library. Children can read or listen to 10 or more books for the chance to win great prizes. Once registered, children can share drawings, book reviews, play online games and check out the Library’s reading recommendations.

After sell-out seasons around the world, The Gruffalo will delight audiences at The Concourse theatre from 21-23 January. Join Mouse on a daring adventure through the deep, dark wood in this musical adaptation of the classic children’s book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.

Don’t miss The 13-Storey Treehouse on 28-30 January at The Concourse Theatre, after sell-out performances around Australia. Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton’s best-selling book is brought to life with a seriously funny cast.

Active kids will love the Chatswood adventure walk activity with clues to find Chatswood Library’s mascot hidden around Chatswood CBD.

Top off the fun day out with some delicious food at one of the many restaurants and cafes on The Concourse like Grill’d Burgers, ToMi’s Vietnamese Kitchen, NorthGreen Café, Guzman y Gomez, Doki Doki, Mama Mulan and Elements of Thai Chatswood.

Every Thursday and Friday from 9am-9pm, the Chatswood Mall Markets are buzzing with food and clothes stalls on the Victoria Avenue precinct. There’s tasty Greek, Egyptian, Singaporean, Japanese, Italian, Turkish, Spanish and Korean cuisine.

A visit to Chatswood is not complete without enjoying the world-class shopping experience across Chatswood Westfields, Chatswood Chase, Chatswood Interchange and Victoria Avenue.
