Chief Minister to visit Canberra for first National Cabinet meeting

The Chief Minister will travel to Canberra this week to meet with investors and the Commonwealth Government to continue to grow a $40 billion economy by 2030.

Chief Minister Natasha Fyles will this week visit the nation’s capital for the first time as Chief Minister of the Northern Territory.

While there, the Chief Minister will be meeting with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Climate Change and Energy, and INPEX.

The Chief Minister will have discussions around Major Projects in energy, critical minerals and manufacturing and the Territory’s workforce needs.

The Middle Arm sustainable development precinct, which is being super charged off the back of Commonwealth infrastructure commitment and mass solar from projects like Sun Cable’s Australia-Asia PowerLink, will also be discussed, along with the importance of cooperation for national energy security.

The Chief Minister will also be partaking in her first National Cabinet with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, as well as the other state and Territory first Ministers.
