Choose Yarra Ranges this Season is Council’s festive campaign, celebrating everything the region has to offer over the holiday season.

Mayor Sophie Todorov emphasised the significance of the summer holiday period for residents and local businesses, encouraging the community to engage in festive activities.
“We are celebrating Yarra Ranges as the ultimate place to make your memories during this special season. Join in one of the community carol events, festivals, Twilight shopping or Christmas markets – there is something special about a Yarra Ranges celebration,” said Mayor Cr Sophie Todorov.
“The essence of Choose Yarra Ranges This Season” lies in supporting our local community and businesses, and celebrating everything our incredible region has to offer. Yarra Ranges is the kind of place you can make traditions that will endure through generations.”
“The Christmas and summer holiday period are so important to our residents, and to our local businesses,” Cr Todorov said.
“This summer our splash parks, hiking paths and bike trails will come alive with families and friends gathering and celebrating. It’s a great time to explore your own backyard – the new Wesburn Pump track has riding suitable for all levels, and ngarruk burring | Ridgewalk is a wonderful way to explore the vibrant Hills villages via the beautiful forest. “

Council’s annual Christmas Window competition is back, bigger and brighter than ever, supporting our townships to bring festive cheer to the retail areas. Our local community and trader groups are holding carols, twilight markets, special events and street parties; Our Enjoy Local Calendar is capturing these events across the municipality.
The Buy Local and a Movie promotion offers discounted movie tickets at The Memo Healesville and The Arts Centre Warburton, to anyone who spends $30 or more at a participating local business. This includes our classic christmas movie programming throughout December.
