City Lord Mayors meet in Adelaide

CCCLM

Lord Mayors of Australia’s capital cities are meeting in Adelaide today – the first meeting in person conducted since November 2019.

Ahead of the Federal Budget being handed down next week, Lord Mayors will discuss the continuing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic being experienced in cities.

During 2020, Australia’s capital cities experienced devasting social and economic impacts of COVID-19. The pandemic illustrated vulnerabilities within our cities – particularly those members of our communities experiencing, or at risk of homelessness, or those employed in city culture and the arts, retail, hospitality and entertainment sectors.

Investment in cities will ensure Australia’s economic engine rooms continue to deliver national benefits.
