The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested and charged a 17-year-old male in relation to multiple burglaries that occurred in Fannie Bay yesterday afternoon.
Around 3:55pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report of an unlawful entry at a residence in Fannie Bay.
It is alleged one of the occupants returned home to find an unknown male asleep inside. Police were called; however, the male woke and fled the scene prior to their attendance.
Following investigations, it was established three nearby residences had also been allegedly unlawfully entered by the male, with alcohol, jewellery and a bicycle being stolen from the residences.
The offender was subsequently located on East Point Road and taken into custody. He had suffered a laceration to his foot, with blood being found inside some of the residences entered, and conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment
The 17-year-old male was later charged with multiple offences, including burglary, theft and damage to property, and remanded in custody to appear in court on Monday.
