A motorcycle has died following a crash in the state’s north yesterday.
Just after 11.50am yesterday (Saturday 12 September 2026), emergency services were called to Bingleburra Road, Bingleburra, approximately 17km west of Dungog, following reports a motorcycle rider sustained serious injuries.
Officers attached to Port Stephens-Hunter Police District were told a rider – a 69-year-old man – was travelling along with riding group members before he crashed into a safety barrier and was ejected from the motorcycle.
He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at an oval however, he died before being airlifted to a hospital.
The damaged motorcycle was seized to be forensically examined.
A crime scene has been established, and police have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash and his death.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
