City of Darwin seeks innovative and creative tenancies for new aquatic centre

Darwin City Council

City of Darwin is seeking expressions of interest from businesses and organisations to lease three tenancies at the new Casuarina Aquatic and Leisure Centre.

Lord Mayor Kon Vatskalis said City of Darwin is eager to receive proposals that show innovation, demonstrate community benefit, and are economically viable. Consideration will also be given to how proposals align with the city’s strategic plan.

“We are excited to see proposals from businesses and community organisations with creative ideas on how to best use the three available tenancies,” Mr Vatskalis said.

The centre is a major new development for our city, and we want to ensure it is a vibrant and welcoming place for everyone to enjoy.

“We are looking for proposals that will add something new and exciting to the northern suburbs, we want businesses that will create a buzz and attract people from all over Darwin.”

The tenancies range from 190 to 480 square metres each and are ideal for businesses that provide services to the community, such as:

  • Cafes and restaurants
  • Fitness studios
  • Children’s activities
  • Allied health services
  • Retail shops
  • Arts and cultural spaces
  • Community organisations.
