Club Racing Australia is preparing to launch a new national sport and racing engagement platform designed to connect passionate sporting fans with the world of thoroughbred racing through a fully programmed membership experience.

The platform will bring together racing programs, member experiences, race day hospitality, merchandise, travel, events, functions, digital content, social engagement and behind-the-scenes racing access.

Club Racing Australia has been created to give sporting fans a new way to engage with racing, whether they want to be highly involved in the full experience or simply follow the journey from a distance.

A Club Racing Australia spokesperson said the platform had been developed to create a genuine bridge between major sporting communities and the racing industry.

“Club Racing Australia is not simply about footy fans following a racehorse,” the spokesperson said. “It is a fully programmed sport, racing, entertainment and hospitality experience designed to bring the best parts of thoroughbred racing to passionate, like-minded sporting fans across Australia.

“We are creating engagement across both sports, in all states, and giving members the opportunity to be involved as much or as little as they choose.”

The spokesperson said the Club Racing Australia model would include a wide range of member benefits and experiences beyond racehorse participation alone.

“That could mean following the horse story through the app, website and social channels, attending race days, joining stable or sales experiences, taking part in functions and events, accessing merchandise and travel opportunities, or being part of premium hospitality and sponsor activations.

“The horse provides an important identity and emotional connection, but the full Club Racing Australia experience is much broader. It is about racing, sport, content, community, hospitality, travel, merchandise, events, partnerships and year-round member engagement.”

Club Racing Australia is currently progressing commercial discussions with a number of sporting organisations across New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland as part of its foundation partner rollout.

With 2027 partnership planning now underway across the sporting landscape, Club Racing Australia is working through the appropriate commercial process with prospective club partners and looks forward to announcing its foundation partners and first racing programs as the 2026 season draws to a close and clubs are in a position to announce their 2027 commercial partners.

Club Racing Australia is being developed with a focus on quality, credibility and national reach, with the business intending to work alongside leading bloodstock agents, trainers, racing professionals, event partners and commercial collaborators across Australia.

The platform is expected to engage experienced bloodstock advisers and selectors including Kestrel Thoroughbreds, Clarke Bloodstock and Paul Moroney Bloodstock, alongside leading trainers and racing stables including Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott Racing, Bjorn Baker Racing, Tony Gollan Racing and John O’Shea and Tom Charlton, subject to final commercial arrangements and program requirements.

Club Racing Australia will also work with event and activation partners nationally to deliver member functions, race day experiences, supporter events, sponsor activations, travel packages and major racing experiences across Australia.

Membership opportunities are expected to be offered across three tiers, allowing members to choose the level of access and involvement that suits them. The proposed membership structure will include accessible supporter memberships, enhanced member packages and premium partner-level opportunities, with inclusions expected to cover race day access, hospitality, merchandise, digital content, member experiences, sponsor activations, travel opportunities, functions, racing participation and behind-the-scenes racing engagement, subject to final legal, racing and commercial approvals.

“We cannot wait to bring Club Racing Australia to life,” the spokesperson said.

“This platform has been designed to create something new for both sport and racing fans. We are working through the appropriate commercial process with prospective foundation partners and, as the 2026 season draws to a close, we look forward to sharing the first Club Racing Australia racing programs for 2027.”
