Police are currently on scene at a multi-vehicle collision in Southbank.
Emergency services were called to the Westgate Freeway, where three vehicles collided about 12.10pm.
It is understood a 4WD towing a horse float, a car and a truck collided between Montague and Power streets.
The drivers of both cars, the only occupants, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The truck driver was not injured, and no animals were injured.
The on ramp to Montague Street has been blocked and traffic diversions are in place.
The exact cause of the collision is yet to be determined at this stage.
