Community Grants – Information Sessions

Applications for Mornington Peninsula Shire’s Community Grants program will open in July and the Shire is holding three community information sessions to help prospective grant applicants prepare.

Whether you’re a first-time applicant or looking to refresh your memory, everyone is welcome to attend a session to learn about the application process and to speak with Shire staff about your proposed project.

Hastings

Mornington

Wednesday 5 June, 7pm

Rosebud

Wednesday 12 June, 1.30pm

Community Grants can be accessed for a wide variety of community projects in the categories of Creative, Placemaking and Support, offering financial support to non-profit community organisations and community groups.

Creative Grants assist community groups and non-profits groups interested in initiating arts and cultural activities and programs with public outcomes – up to $5,000.

Placemaking Grants support community led initiatives that align to the placemaking criteria and Council’s strategic goals – up to $5,000.

Support Grants assist community groups and non-profit groups and organisations by providing funding for a wide range of projects that support community outcomes – up to $5,000.

Flexi Grants open 1 July and remain open for the year until funds are expended. Flexi Grants provide an opportunity for community groups needing a small amount of funding to start a new project, purchase small equipment, train volunteers or host a small community activity – up to $1,000.
