A brand new playground will be ready for play at Depot Hill’s Bartlem Oval next month with Council commencing works to demolish the existing playground on Monday, 5 January 2024.
Works will involve removing and replacing all deteriorated fixtures in addition the playground including bollards, gates and signage. Repairs will also be made to the existing footpath network.
The existing shade sails will be removed and replaced with a more permanent hard structure under the 2024/25 budget to provide shade for children and families.
The Bartlem Oval playground upgrade is funded through Rockhampton Regional Council’s Playground renewals program.
