The Tasmanian Liberal Government looks forward to showcasing our strong plan to strengthen Tasmania’s future this week during the Budget Estimates.
We know that Estimates is about appropriate scrutiny, and we hope Tasmanian Labor will use its time correctly and not continue their track record of taking personal pot shots and playing petty politics.
Last week Labor showed that they have no alternative budget, and no plan for Tasmania.
This was Labor’s ninth opportunity to produce a properly costed and funded Alternative Budget, and just like in previous years, they’ve failed miserably.
In stark contrast, the 2022-23 Tasmanian Budget is delivering for all Tasmanians.
Our strong economic management has allowed us to support Tasmanian businesses and the community throughout the pandemic and invest in the essential services Tasmanians care about such as health, education, housing, and assisting vulnerable Tasmanians with the cost of living.
