Victoria was notified of 14 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday.
All were locally acquired cases linked to the recent interstate incursions of COVID-19.
There were 158 active cases in Victoria – 146 locally acquired and 12 overseas acquired cases.
There were seven COVID-19 cases in hospital in Victoria yesterday. Two cases were in intensive care.
The total number of confirmed cases in Victoria since the beginning of the pandemic is 20,879.

Outbreaks
Of the 14 new locally acquired cases, all have been linked to the current outbreaks.
Overall, 11 of the 14 new cases spent all of their infectious period in quarantine. Three cases spent some time in the community.
There have been a total of 146 cases in Victoria in the 11 days of this outbreak.
Of the 14 new community cases reported today:
- Four are linked to AAMI Park.
- Two are linked to Ms Frankie in Cremorne.
- Two are linked to Trinity Grammar.
- One is linked to the Phillip Island community outbreak.
- One is linked to St Patrick’s Primary School in Murrumbeena.
- One is linked to the Bacchus Marsh Grammar School.
- One is linked to the City of Hume outbreak.
- One is linked to the West Gate tunnel workplace outbreak.
- One is linked to the Young & Jackson Hotel.
More than 21,000 primary close contacts have been identified by the Department.
There are a large number of people in isolation from AAMI Park and the MCG exposures sites. Many of the MCG primary close contacts will undergo day 13 testing today and tomorrow and will then go through clearance processes with the Department when they return negative test results.

The Department regularly manages exposure sites that it doesn’t publish online, particularly if these sites represent lower-risk exposures, or if they have comprehensive record-keeping and contact tracing measures, or if they identify small, private locations.
We continue to ask every Victorian to check exposure sites regularly, as they are subject to change based on follow-up interviews and further investigation.
Update: Testing
Yesterday, the total number of tests processed in Victoria since the start of the pandemic exceeded eight million.
A total of 43,542 tests were processed in Victoria yesterday.
Since this outbreak started on 12 July, we have processed almost 470,000 test results.

Update: Vaccinations
Yesterday, 14,302 vaccine doses were administered by Victoria’s state-commissioned services.
The total number of doses administered through these services is 1,474,851.
