COVID-19 Data
Yesterday, 28,232 vaccine doses were administered by Victoria’s state-commissioned services. The total number of doses administered through state-run services is 4,484,902.
91.6 per cent of Victorians aged 16 and over have now had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 75.4 per cent have had two doses. This excludes most recent Commonwealth data.
There are 817 COVID-19 cases in hospital in Victoria. 147 of those cases are in intensive care, with 88 cases on a ventilator.
Of the cases in intensive care yesterday, 96 per cent were not fully vaccinated.
Victoria was notified of 1,510 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. All cases were local. The 10 Local Government Areas with the highest number of new cases are Casey, Cardinia, Melton, Wyndham, Greater Dandenong, Whittlesea, Hume, Brimbank, Melbourne and Latrobe.

There are 24,715 active cases in Victoria. The total number of confirmed cases in Victoria since the beginning of the pandemic is 81,651.
Sadly, the Department was notified of four deaths yesterday, bringing the total number of deaths in Victoria since the pandemic began to 1,052.

55,679 COVID-19 tests were processed yesterday. The total number of tests performed in Victoria since the pandemic began is 12,976,061.
There are currently more than 71,000 active primary close contacts in isolation in Victoria.

Service Victoria has updated its app to include a new feature that notifies Victorians within the app if they have checked in at a Tier 1 exposure site listed on the Coronavirus website. This new feature is another way Victorians can be aware if they have visited a Tier 1 exposure site, allowing them to isolate faster to protect the community.
The Department of Health is working closely with NSW Health to respond to increasing cases in the Albury Wodonga area. COVID-19 testing is available in Wodonga at the drive through at Albury Wodonga Health at 79 Vermont St, and the walk-through Wodonga Respiratory Clinic at 224-226 Beechworth Rd.
