Council’s pilot project changes unemployment perceptions

The City of Casey is committed to working with local job seekers and employers to help identify new pathways to connect jobseekers to local employment opportunities.

The Changing Perceptions in Employment pilot program, designed to address unemployment issues, was launched in response to growing concerns about skills shortages in specific industries.

A unique, place-based skills and jobs program, Changing Perceptions in Employment placed a human lens on this complex issue seeking to address preconceived perceptions held by both jobseekers and employers.

The pilot was funded through the Metropolitan Partnership Development Fund for the Southern Region and delivered in partnership with the City of Casey.

The Changing Perceptions in Employment final report and recommendations will be available in June. Register your interest in receiving a copy of the report here.
