Baw Baw Shire Council is currently seeking community and business input for the draft Economic Development and Visitor Economy Strategy 2022-2025.

The draft Strategy seeks to develop and deliver sustainable economic growth and a bright, thriving future for the region and its businesses. It identifies four key areas of focus for growing Baw Baw Shire’s economy:

  • Leadership and Advocacy
  • Business Attraction and Investment
  • Business and Workforce Development
  • Visitor Economy and Major Events

Feedback received throughout the public consultation will directly inform a range of Council actions over the next three years aimed at driving Baw Baw’s economic development.

How residents and businesses can get involved:

This draft Strategy is now open for public review and feedback. To provide input, interested community members can complete an online and hard copy survey or make a submission to Council in writing.

This consultation opportunity will remain open until Monday, 15 November 2021.

Following this consultation period, Council will collate and review all feedback received and identify key themes the community would like to see incorporated into the new Strategy.

The refined Economic Development and Visitor Economy Strategy 2022-2025 will then be presented back to Council for adoption later in the year.
