Defence innovator SYPAQ calls Lot Fourteen home

Defence and technology innovator, SYPAQ, has officially opened its South Australian operation at Lot Fourteen.

The Australian-owned and operated business specialises in systems integration, management and technology consulting.

The expansion into South Australia will enable SYPAQ to grow its workforce and develop new partnerships with local operations.

Minister for Trade and Investment, David Ridgway, says SYPAQ’s expansion into South Australia bolsters Lot Fourteen’s reputation as a site for unparalleled collaborative opportunities for companies across a range of high-growth sectors.

“With organisations such as the Australian Space Agency, SmartSat CRC, MIT’s new big data Living Lab and the Australian Cyber Collaboration Centre, Lot Fourteen is undoubtedly the place to be for any business who wants to rapidly grow,” Mr Ridgway said.

“SYPAQ is an Australian success story and partners locally and internationally with world-renowned companies.

“I’m pleased to welcome the team to Adelaide and look forward to seeing their business boom.”

SYPAQ’s Managing Director, David Vicino, believes the South Australian market is set to offer the company exciting new opportunities.

“We came to Lot Fourteen as the local market is poised for growth in the defence, science and technology sectors and the ability to work alongside other innovative businesses was something we couldn’t pass up,” Mr Vicino said.

“With our pedigree in defence, being co-located with the Defence Teaming Centre and Defence and Space Landing Pad is also a distinct advantage.

“We decided Adelaide was the best fit for our growth strategy noting the sovereign shipbuilding capability being established.

“We’ve partnered with other businesses on defence innovation projects, supported international firms to win and deliver large contracts and worked with research institutions on next generation technologies. We are looking to further expand our established government relationships in South Australia.”
