Detectives charge trio after thefts from retail stores

Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested and charged three teenagers following a number of thefts of electronic goods from retail stores across the state.

The alleged incidents took place at retail outlets around the Melbourne metropolitan area between 22 August and 1 September 20-19 and involved offenders stealing high-end electrical products.

Two boys, both aged 16, were arrested in Little Lonsdale Street, Melbourne on Monday.

One of the boys, from Derrimut, was charged with robbery, six counts of theft and bail offences.

He will face a children’s court at a later date.

The other boy, from Point Cook, was charged with two counts of theft and bail offences.

He will face a children’s court at a later date.

Yesterday, a male was arrested in the vicinity of Freda Court in St Albans.

The 16-year-old from Keilor Downs, was charged with five counts of theft and bail offences.

He will face a children’s court at a later date.
