Detectives investigate Dandenong armed robbery

Greater Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for assistance to identify two youths following an armed robbery on 14 June.

Investigators have been told the pair approached the victim, a 16-year-old boy, at a shopping centre on Boyd Lane, Dandenong about 11am.

They produced a hammer and knife and threatened the teenager, demanding he hand over his jacket and shoes.

The victim handed over the items and the pair fled the scene.

He was not injured during the incident.

Both offenders are perceived as Islander in appearance and about 170cm tall.

One of the males was wearing a white shirt and scarf around his neck.

The second had a white cap and black Puma shoes.
