Detectives release CCTV as inquiries continue into Sydenham home invasion, NSW

Police have released CCTV vision of a vehicle of interest as they continue to investigate a home invasion in Sydney’s Inner West earlier this month.

Emergency services were called to Unwins Bridge Road, Sydenham, just after 9.30pm on Sunday 12 January 2020, after two men forced entry into a home and confronted three occupants.

Police have been told the males – armed with crow bars – threatened the residents – two women, aged 20 and 52, and an 18-year-old man – before assaulting the man and detaining him and the younger woman in a room.

Upon arrival of officers from Inner West Police Area Command, the men ran from the scene.

The older woman and man were taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital suffering minor injuries. They have since been released.

A crime scene was established which has been examined by specialist forensic officers.

As part of ongoing inquiries, detectives have released CCTV vision of a vehicle, which was seen on Unwins Bridge Road shortly before the incident.

The vehicle is described as a silver sedan.

Anyone who has any information about the vehicle or who has dash cam vision from the area about 9.20pm the same day is urged to come forward.

Investigations are continuing.
