Discussions will be held next week about the future of Ellensfield Road.
Isaac Regional Council Mayor Anne Baker said today Glenden residents are understandably concerned about future access to Ellensfield Road.
“Local residents are concerned that the road is to be closed, following construction of fences up to the shoulders of the road at one point,” Mayor Baker said.
“This road is privately owned by Peabody but the road currently has not been closed and Council is not aware of any planned impending closure.
“There will be initial discussions between Council officers and Peabody representatives next week and I expect further discussions will be arranged to fully explore this issue.”
