“The Australian Doctors Reform Society today calls on PM Morrison to return from holidays immediately to coordinate a national response to the Covid testing Crisis”said Dr Robert Marr Secretary of the Australian Doctors Reform Society.
“Hundreds of thousands of Australians are waiting in lines for hours unnecessarily for expensive PCR Covid tests when Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) would be sufficient for screening for travel ,etc but there is a national shortage of RAT tests”.said Dr Robert Marr
“State Premiers are criticising each other while no National consistent coordination is happening and it is vital that PM Morrison return from holidays immediately to coordinate an immediate increase in importation of RAT tests to replace the PCR tests for screening”said Dr Peter Davoren President of Australian Doctors Refrom Society
“The Doctors Reform Society also calls on Mr Morrison to immediatedly remove the GST from RAT tests to reduce the price from $10 to $9 a test which is much cheaper than the PCR covid tests which costs taxpayers $85 a test.” said Dr Marr
“Mr Morrison should also provide a Medicare refund for RAT tests for every Australian citizen just like the UK and USA where the government provides free RAT tests for all citizens.”said Dr Marr
