Draft Economic Development and Tourism Strategy

Murray River Council

Murray River Council has adopted a new draft Economic Development and Tourism Strategy, and the community is now invited to offer feedback.

The Strategy has been developed to identify opportunities and potential projects that will support economic growth, encourage local employment and position Murray River Council as a leader in tourism.

Mayor Frank Crawley is encouraging the community to view the draft Strategy and have their say.

“We recently asked local businesses to offer input on the current business conditions, competitiveness of the region, and the role that Council should play in promoting economic development and tourism.”

“This input was crucial and has informed the development of the Draft Strategy we now have in front of us.”

“The document details a longer-term strategy for the next ten-years, along with an action plan that covers the first 12-months of implementation.”

“But before we move forward, we need to know if we’ve got it right, so I’d encourage interested locals and businesses to take a look.”

The draft Economic Development and Tourism Strategy and background information is available on Council’s Your Say platform.
