Driver injured in Hume Highway truck collision

A man has been injured after two B-Double trucks collided on the Hume Highway near Narellan Road at Mt Annan today.

About 8.15am (Wednesday 1 July 2020), emergency services were called to the Hume Highway following reports of an accident near the Jim Affleck bridge.

Officers attached to Campbelltown Police Area Command, NSW Ambulance paramedics and Fire and Rescue NSW attended.

The driver of one truck, a 60-year-old man, was released from the wreckage after being trapped. He has been conveyed to Liverpool Hosital with minor injuries.

The driver of the second truck, a 26-year-old man, did not sustain serious injuries.

Northbound and southbound lanes were closed temporarily, one north bound lane remains closed as the salvage operation continues.
