Driver of stolen car arrested at Dover Gardens, South Australia

Police have arrested a man after he was spotted in a stolen Ford station wagon at Dover Gardens tonight.

Just after 9pm on Wednesday 2 September, patrols sighted the stolen wagon on Yarmouth Road and were able to maintain observations while other patrols made their way to the scene. Without raising the suspicions of the driver and his three passengers, police were able to set up at several nearby exit points with road spikes.

As the vehicle drove off along Yarmouth Road, police deployed road spikes and the wagon immediately stopped. The driver, a 24-year-old man from Adelaide was arrested and is expected to be charged with illegal use.

His three occupants are currently being interviewed by police.

The wagon was stolen from a Huntfield Heights address overnight on 24 August.
