A driver has been reported for multiple traffic offences after a police investigation into a road rage incident posted on social media.
The interaction between a scooter and a black Ford sedan on Henley Beach Road, Brooklyn Park about 6pm on 24 November was posted to social media.
Yesterday, Monday 27 November, traffic officers attended the registered owner’s address to make inquiries about the incident.
They pulled over the black Ford as it approached the house.
The driver, a 23-year-old Hendon woman, tested positive for cannabis. The sample was sent for forensic analysis.
Police checks revealed her licence had expired.
She was also reported for traffic offences in relation to the Brooklyn Park incident, including aggravated driving without due care, driving unlicensed, fail to drive within marked lane and fail to stop on yellow signal.
She will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
Her vehicle was defected and impounded for 28 days.
All road users need to know they can be filmed anywhere, anytime – which dramatically increases the chances of being caught.
Police will follow up on vision showing dangerous or criminal acts and will take action where necessary.
