Drug operation at Carnarvon

Carnarvon Detectives have successfully disrupted the flow of drugs into the community during Operation Luna Chariot.

15 people have been arrested (ages ranging between 33 and 58), over 200 charges have been preferred and methylamphetamine and cannabis taken off the streets by Carnarvon Detectives as a result of an ongoing illicit drug operation being run in Carnarvon.

Operation Luna Chariot focused on seizure of prohibited drugs through vehicle stops, parcel interception and search warrants. It further focussed on capturing evidence of low to mid-level street dealing within the Carnarvon community.

Charges range from possession a prohibited drug with the intent to sell / supply, offering to sell / supply a prohibited drug, possession of stolen property as well as weapon offences.

Detective Acting Sergeant Steven ROLLINGS states:

“Our focus is to reduce the amount of community harm cause by prohibited drugs. If you supply drugs or profit from the sales of drugs in Carnarvon, we will actively target you and those associates you conduct your business with. Information provided by the community through Crime Stoppers supported our efforts to reduce harm in the community in this instance.”
