Drugs and cars seized during Salisbury South search

Two people have been arrested after a search of a Salisbury South warehouse uncovered a large amount of cannabis and equipment.

It will be alleged that about 5pm on 10 January, officers from Northern District CIB and patrols went to the property in Mengel Street where they located a sophisticated cannabis operation.

14 large cannabis plants were located along with 50kg of dried cannabis packaged and ready for distribution.

Police arrested a 45-year-old man from Semaphore and a 47-year-old man from Golden Grove.

Both men were charged with cultivating cannabis, possess prescribed equipment, theft of electricity and trafficking a large commercial quantity of cannabis.

Police also seized a Subaru WRX sedan and an Audi RS4 station wagon.

Both men were refused bail and appeared in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Thursday 11 January. They were remanded in custody and will reappear on 18 January.
