Drugs, identity documents, cash and weapons seized; man arrested in Pyrmont

A man has been arrested after police allegedly located cash, drugs, prohibited weapons and stolen identity documents at his Pyrmont home yesterday.

Shortly before 3.30pm (Tuesday 27 August 2019), officers from Eastern Beaches, assisted by officers from Tactical Operations Group, stopped a 30-year-old man on Harwood Lane, Pyrmont.

He was searched, and officers will allege they found a large amount of cash along with prohibited drugs.

He was arrested and taken to St Vincent’s Hospital due to health concerns.

Investigations continued and later that day, about 8.20pm, officers conducted a search of the man’s Bunn Street, Pyrmont, unit where they allegedly located an amount of prescribed medication, prohibited drugs, about 50 drivers licence in different names, credit card details, storage devices, drug ledgers, an extendable baton and two electronic control devices.

Upon his release from hospital the man is expected to be charged with a revocation of parole warrant, proceeds of crime and drug supply as well as fraud and weapon offences.
