Drugs, weapons, and imitation firearms seized in Burnside

Illicit Firearms Squad officers allegedly located drugs, a samurai sword, knuckle knives, imitation firearms, and a Victoria Police badge after executing a warrant in Burnside on Monday 6 November.

Police attended an address in Billungah Place about 9.20am as part of an ongoing investigation.

A 36-year-old man from Burnside was arrested and officers searched the property.

During the search police allegedly seized:

– four imitation firearms

– a samurai sword

– two knuckle knives

– a 3D Printer

– various 3D printed firearm parts

– three unfinished firearm barrels

– 24 pieces of cartridge ammunition

– a Victoria Police badge

– a small amount of heroin

– four cannabis plants

The 36-year-old has been charged with:

– possess equipment for manufacture/traffick drug of dependence

– possess pre-cursor chemicals

– traffick heroin

– possess equipment for manufacture firearms

– cultivate cannabis

– possess heroin

– possess imitation firearms

– possess cartridge ammunition

He was bailed to appear before Melbourne Magistrates Court on 30 January 2024.
