Police and emergency services responded to reports of a crash in Deer Park this morning (18 August).
Investigators have been told a silver Toyota was travelling north-west on Erindale Avenue about 12.30am.
The driver of the Toyota, a 47-year-old Burnside man allegedly lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a property on Ferris Avenue.
The sole occupant of the home, a woman aged in her 70’s was not injured.
The driver subsequently returned a positive evidentiary breath test of 0.159.
He is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving and other traffic related offences.
