About the Early Years Plan
We are committed to supporting families and children, helping you to access inclusive services, opportunities and spaces in Wellington.
To deliver on this commitment Council is consulting with families to understand the current and future need for early years services and facilities that cater for families with children aged 0 – 8 years.
This includes services and facilities such as childcare, kindergarten, maternal and child health services, playgroups, immunisation, family and parent support and education programs. It also includes universally accessible facilities and services such as playgrounds and open spaces, swimming pools and leisure centres, libraries, community events and social support services.
