Easter Celebrations will be returning to Merrylands for another Easter Eggs-travaganza

The Easter Bunny will once again be hopping its way to Central Gardens in Merrylands for the return of Cumberland Council’s Easter Celebrations.

The community will be treated to a bustling program featuring Easter egg hunts, Easter themed crafts including drawing and colouring activities, Easter hat and egg decorating, cross making, an Easter puppet show, and of course a special visit from the Easter Bunny.

Cumberland Mayor Lisa Lake said that she was delighted to see the return of such a happy event, after last year’s success.

“Easter means so much to many of our community members, so it’s great to be able to celebrate with them again this year,” she said.

“There will be something for the whole family to enjoy, so I encourage everyone to come along and join what is anticipated to be a festive and fun afternoon.”

Eventgoers will also enjoy stage performances including a magic show and dance party, as well as a range of market and food stalls.

Council’s Easter celebrations will be taking place on Saturday 9 March from 10am to 2pm at Central Gardens Nature Reserve in Merrylands.
