Emergency crews responding to fire in unit complex at Entrance, NSW

A fire has damaged a unit complex on the state’s Central Coast.

Shortly after 6:30pm yesterday (Friday 22 January 2021), emergency services respond to reports of a fire at a unit complex on Ocean Parade, The Entrance.

About 30 residents were evacuated from the unit complex. There were no reports of any occupants being injured.

Three police officers who assisted in evacuating residents suffered minor smoke inhalation. The officers were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics.

NSW Fire Rescue were able to extinguish the fire. Damage was confined to two of the units. Residents of the units not affected by the fire damage were permitted to return to their units once deemed safe to do so.

Offices from Tuggerah Lakes Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.
