Emergency crews responding to house fire at Edwardstown, South Australia

Police have discovered a hydroponic cannabis crop following a house fire at Edwardstown late last night.

Emergency services responded to reports of smoke coming from a home in Lindfield Avenue just before 11.30pm on Monday 4 November.

When police arrived, smoke and flames were seen coming from the roof of the house and MFS crews forced entry and quickly extinguished the fire.

No one was home at the time of the fire.

On investigation, police discovered cannabis being grown hydroponically in the house. Southern District detectives will be investigating the fire, and at this stage the cause is undetermined.

Fire cause investigators will be attending the scene later this morning.
