Swimmers will get to enjoy a series of upgrades to the grounds of the Euroa outdoor swimming pool when the season opens later this year.
Renovations are currently underway in the garden area and the vine covering the area has been removed to open up the area.
Strathbogie Shire Council Mayor Cr Laura Binks said the historical fountain garden section is being refreshed after it was gifted to Council by the Leo Club decades ago.
Cr Binks said Council’s outdoor swimming pools were crucial facilities for our community.
“These spaces not only create enjoyment, but they are a fantastic resource for learning to swim and other educational practices,” she said.
“We are looking forward to seeing the freshened-up Euroa pool which we will also feature an updated barbeque area – the perfect setting for a summer evening with the family.
The project, as well as other pool upgrades and footpath works, has been funded through the Commonwealth Local Road and Community Infrastructure Program.
