Mayor Ben Ramcharan said Nillumbik is spoilt for choice when it comes to autumn and winter shopping.
“Our Shire is home to many small businesses across a broad range of industries,” Cr Ramcharan said.
“Whether you need a gift, a treat for yourself, or the essentials, you’ll find the right business not too far from home.
“Shop in our Shire provides a chance for residents to acknowledge our hardworking traders and give them a shout out,” he said.
To enter, make a purchase from a local business, then visit nillumbik.vic.gov.au/shop-in-our-shire and tell us why you want to give them a warm shout out. Remember to keep your receipt. We’ll share the shout-outs with the nominated businesses to help spread the warmth.
The Shop in our Shire campaign is now open and will run until 18 August. The winner will be announced on nillumbik.vic.gov.au/shop-in-our-shire and will receive a $200 Shop in our Shire gift card to spend at a Nillumbik local business of their choice.
Three concession prizes have been provided by the Eltham Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Diamond Creek Traders Association and Hurstbridge Village.
