If you want to secure funding for your community group or organisation, don’t miss this opportunity to give your next grant application the best possible chance of success.
Moira Shire Council has partnered with Section51, specialists at developing funding strategies and grant applications, to host a free, practical, hands-on workshop on how to successfully apply for Council, Victorian and Australian Government grants.
What you will learn:
- How to understand your audience and write an application that speaks to the right reader.
- How to craft a compelling, positive story that assessors want to read.
- How to use evidence and attachments to back up your application.
- How to report on your grant and set yourself up for future funding success.
Moira Shire Council CEO Matthew Morgan said the workshop was an excellent opportunity to learn from an expert.
“A grant application needs to tell a story, not just ask for funding, and that story needs to align with government policy objectives,” Mr Morgan said.
“Colin Steele from Section51 can teach you how to effectively tell your story and understand how competitive your projects will be through grant funding processes.”
Since Section51 was established 16 years ago, it has advised more than 150 councils and their communities across every state and territory, and more than 1500 people have attended the firm’s workshops.
