Forensic Crash Unit officers are investigating a fatal traffic crash in Stanthorpe overnight.
Preliminary investigations indicate at 10.20pm a truck travelling south on the New England Highway has collided with a sedan travelling in the opposite direction near the intersection with McGlew Street.
The driver of the car, a local man in his twenties, died at the scene.
A female passenger of the car and the male truck driver, were not physically injured.
Investigations are continuing.
