Police can confirm that a 32-year-old Underwood man lost his life after a motorcycle crash that occurred on Lilydale Road, at Rocherlea, at about 8:30pm on Monday the 29th of August 2022.
Members of Ambulance Tasmania and Launceston Police attended the scene shortly after the crash occurred, but despite the best efforts of emergency service the man could not be saved.
It appears the man had been riding a grey Honda CBR motorcycle in an easterly directing on Lilydale Road, before losing control and crashing near the intersection of Archer Street.
Police are investigating the cause if the crash and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
Police are appealing for any witness to come forward and ask that if anyone has dashcam footage of the motorcycle to contact police at Launceston Police Station on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
