Fatal single-vehicle crash, NSW

A man has died following a single-vehicle crash on the state’s South Coast today.

Just after 9am (Saturday 19 January 2019), emergency services were called to the intersection of Jellico and Craddock Roads at Tuross Head, south of Batemans Bay, after reports a Peugeot sedan hat left the road and hit a tree, trapping the driver.

The 94-year-old man was freed and treated by paramedics. He was taken to Moruya Hospital, where he later died.

Officers from South Coast Police District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Initial inquiries suggest the man may have suffered a medical episode.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
