Fight food waste at home for free

The City of Stonnington is hosting free, fun interactive workshops designed to make you an expert in reducing and composting food waste.

Led by Reground, a social enterprise helping organisations and individuals create a circular economy through innovative waste collection and waste minimisation projects, experts will cover topics like:

  • options available for food waste composting
  • things to remember and avoid when composting food scraps
  • tips on organising your kitchen and waste spaces to make composting easy
  • navigating tricky waste issues and conversations with neighbours and your community.

Workshops include a demonstration of different composting methods to help you decide what might be right for you.

This initiative is hosted by the City of Stonnington and presented by social enterprise Reground. It is also supported by the Circular Economy Household Education Fund and funded by Sustainability Victoria (under the Victorian Government’s circular economy policy, Recycling Victoria: A new economy).
