Financial assistance for hard-working apprentices

An apprentice being watched by his supervisor

The Bert Evans Apprenticeship Scholarships help apprentices who are experiencing personal hardship and have demonstrated a positive attitude in the workplace.

Since being introduced in 2014, the NSW Government has awarded 406 scholarships to help apprentices continue their training.

In 2019, up to 90 scholarships will be awarded, including 15 for Indigenous apprentices.

Minister for Skills and Tertiary Education Geoff Lee is urging conscientious apprentices to apply for the scholarship.

“I am committed to supporting apprentices who work hard, persevere and contribute to the community,” Mr Lee said.

“Undertaking an apprenticeship is hard work, so I am thrilled this government can lend a helping hand through these scholarships.”

Applications close 19 July 2019.
