Fingerprints lead to break-in arrest, South Australia

A man has been arrested today after his fingerprints were allegedly found at a break-in at Salisbury earlier this month.

On Friday 18 September, a Salisbury woman returned home to find her house had been ransacked,a window smashed and jewellery had been stolen.

Crime scene investigators attended the scene to gather forensic evidence, including fingerprints.

The fingerprints identified a suspect, a 51-year-old Brooklyn Park man.

Today, Wednesday 30 September, police attended a Brooklyn Park address with a search warrant where they allegedly found items stolen during the Salisbury break-in.

The 51-year-old man was arrested and charged with serious criminal trespass and theft. He was bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 6 November.
