Fawkner Embona Taskforce detectives have charged a man and seized several firearms in Coburg North.
Officers executed a search warrant at the Mehegan Avenue residence about 8am yesterday.
During the search officers, with the assistance of the Dog Squad, located an allegedly stolen sawn-off shotgun, two air rifles and an allegedly stolen loaded sawn-off bolt-action rifle.
A quantity of various calibre ammunition was also seized.
A 62-year-old man was arrested at the property and charged with possess traffickable quantity of firearms, prohibited person possess a firearm (x4), possess cartridge ammunition and fail to store firearm in manner provided (x4).
He was bailed to appear in Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court on 9 August.
