The first meeting of the newly-elected group of MidCoast Councillors is being held on Wednesday 12 January, with the election of a Mayor and Deputy Mayor the primary agenda items.
The meeting will be broadcast live and will take place at 2pm at Council’s Administration and Customer Service Centre, Yalawanyi Ganya in Taree.
The Mayor and Deputy Mayor will be elected for the period to September 2023.
Due to the current rise in COVID-19 cases in the community, members of the public are encouraged to view the meeting remotely via livestream. Anyone wishing to attend the public gallery must register prior to the meeting either online or by calling Council’s customer service centre on 7955 7777.

Prior to the meeting Councillors will make their individual Oath or Affirmation of Office before the General Manager, as required by NSW legislation.
