Numerous flood warnings are in place for central and southern Queensland, following heavy rainfall Friday and into the early hours of Saturday morning, particularly along the south-east coast
A major flood warning is current for the Condamine, Logan and Bremer Rivers and Warrill, Laidley and Lockyer Creeks.
The Condamine, Logan and Bremer rivers all peaked above major levels on Friday and are expected to fall to moderate flood levels on Saturday.
There is a major flood warning for the Mary River at Tiaro and a moderate flood warning for the Mary River at Gympie, where river levels are rising and expected to remain above moderate flood levels during Saturday and into Sunday, with peak levels expected late Saturday afternoon.
Minor flooding is current for the Lower Brisbane River. The Lower Brisbane River is expected to peak at minor flood level (1.7m) around the high tides on Saturday and Sunday.
Rainfall is expected to ease across the state on Saturday, with light to moderate showers continuing and the possibility of isolated thunderstorms forecast across the weekend.
Communities across southeast Queensland can expect rainfall totals of 5-20mm for the remainder of Saturday, with isolated falls of 20-50mm. Sunday rainfall easing further to 5-10mm, with isolated falls of 10-20mm.
Due to the saturated catchments across the state, any further rainfall may increase creek and river rises.
